Learning for Life
At Leasowes we are very proud of the rigorous and exciting curriculum planned and implemented for all children. We see the curriculum as everything the children experience through their primary education. We are ‘Rooted in Reading’, and therefore the learning is planned with a challenging book at the heart, which every child will read from start to finish. This ensures that the learning is interesting, relevant, thought-provoking and equitable, enabling us to provide an inclusive curriculum that is accessible to all. In their time at Leasowes, all children will access a wide variety of experiences that further enhance the provision in place. Experiences range from a visiting farm, studying the local area, visiting a coastal town, being a Roman for a day, visiting an Art Gallery and embarking on workshops with working artists, learning about film making at Warner Brothers studio, to a week away on outdoor adventure.
At the heart of learning are our school values: Respect, Courage, Collaboration, Aspiration, Enjoyment and Love. The staff and children live by these every day, enabling the school to create curious learners who love to challenge themselves and learn how to thrive in our ever-changing society.
