PE & Sport Funding
Our Physical Education Provision
The school recognises that sport and exercise has a tremendous impact on the physical and mental well-being of our pupils. It not only develops physical competency but also sets out social boundaries, encourages friendships and encompasses all our school values.
The school has become a designated hub centre of excellence for PE. We operate as a training venue, delivering a wide range of professional development days for teachers across the county, many of which showcase the good practice and work within our PE lessons. We are extremely proud of our achievements and are honoured to be the first school in Staffordshire to have been awarded the afPE Quality Mark with Distinction for ‘demonstrating outstanding commitment to improvement in Physical Education and Sport’.
We have also achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the last four consecutive years in recognition of our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Competition Program.

PE and Sports Funding
In 2018, we were recognised for utilising the PE and Sports Premium Funding most effectively out of all Primary schools in the county. We continue with our rigorous approach to this.
